Newsletter October 2014
Dear Parents, Teachers and Students, we are proud to say that we have begun this school year 2014/2015 excellently on a new campus in Naguru.
AS-Level Curriculum
This school year the AS Cambridge class has been launched and is very successful in both sciences and Arts. Now we have classes from KG-1 up until AS Level.
Cambridge Training
We are also ecstatic about the fact that KDSi was the only school -nationwide- that was able to send teachers for a Cambridge Training & Workshop which occurred in Nairobi, Kenya.
Exeat Weekend
Seeing that the school has progressed for one whole month, we realise the need for a short break which will begin from the 17th to the 21st of October. We expect all student to be back at school on the 22nd of October 2014.
School Text Books
We have equipped the Library with brand new text books from publishers such as Hodder, Cambridge and Oxford University press. During the half-term we hope that students will utilise these books appropriately.
School Uniform
As of the 22nd of October 2014, students from Year 6 up to Year 12 must dress up in school ties which are available for sale with the bursar at 15,000 UGX each. After this, all students must come to school in full uniform. Students will be thoroughly checked at the gate and we will no longer be able to tolerate casual wear.
Holiday Work
Students have been given work to cover the days they were away from school, please be reminded to complete all your work.
Happy Holidays!
